What a wonderful getaway location. The house is exactly as described, very cozy and comfortable. The seasonal decorative touches were really nice. Super clean. Could tell the owners have been very thoughtful in how they prepared and stocked the house. The surrounding area is peaceful, beautiful and full of rich culture and history. We are so glad we stayed at The Rusty Anchor and got to visit Deal Island!

We really enjoyed our stay at Christina's home. The outdoor shower was a big hit after returning from the beach covered with sand! We had everything we needed, with plenty of space. We're already considering another stay next year!

We met and ran into a few neighbors and locals that were awesome and friendly! We had a wonderful time while in friendly Deal Island and look forward to coming back next year for our '5th' Sister-in-law's Annual trip! Thanks for all the wonderful memories/treasures! ❤️

Christina was a great host and quick to respond my questions. House is located in a quaint little town, but was close enough for day trips to Chincoteague. My family enjoyed our stay here.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at Rusty Anchor. It is in a quiet neighborhood just down the block from the water. With Christina's clear instructions, we took our bikes on a very quick ride to the nearby beach, which was beautiful, calm, and kid-friendly. We spent a morning kayaking in the Deal Island Wildlife Management Area with a guide that Christina recommended. It was a magical experience. One morning, we drove to the end of the island to see the crab boats and had a wonderful, impromptu tour of the day's soft shell catch with a local seaman. The whole experience was calm and relaxing and just perfect. Christina's hospitality was unmatched - she responded to all of our questions thoroughly and quickly. The kids had so much fun staying in the room with the bunk beds and we were so happy to have a big table where our two families could all gather for meals. The experience was wonderful and we hope to return in the future.
